There is a lot of talk about press samples, free lunches/stay and more in general about disclosure in the blogging world, and I would say this is a good thing. I run my blog as a business, and while I do get a lot of products (meant in the least braggy way possible - it's hard to move through lack of space and storage at times!), without people reading my blog and creating traffic that brands are after, I wouldn't get to receive said samples.
For this reason I believe complete transparency is nothing less than absolutely necessary; I'd hate to think a reader felt as if they'd had the wool pulled over their eyes about anything. If I've received a product in the post, had it gifted at an event or paid with a gift card or voucher I've been given in the interest of exposure on my blog, I will always disclose as such. To keep things on the straight and narrow, I mark any item(s) received for the purpose of review in the box at the bottom of my post.
In terms of sponsored posts, they will always be marked as such, in the caption (the very first section of text, straight after the post title).
I will only endorse products or services that I believe, based on my expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.
This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.
