Photography Workshops with Marco Secchi

A Leica Perspective on Storytelling, Light, and the Poetry of the Streets

In a world saturated with noise, I believe in the silence of the image — the kind of image that speaks without shouting. Through my lens — usually a Leica, often black-and-white — I explore the stillness, the grit, the beauty, and the rhythm of real life. My workshops are not about posing or presets. They’re about seeing.

Whether we’re wandering the fog-draped calli of Venice at dawn or tracing shadows through the quiet courtyards of Budapest, each workshop is tailored, one-to-one, and deeply rooted in photographic storytelling. You won’t find groups or generic itineraries here — only focused mentorship, thoughtful conversation, and space to create with intention.

What Makes These Workshops Different?

  • Leica at the Core
These workshops are designed especially for those who shoot (or are curious about shooting) with Leica — or simply with a Leica mindset: slow, deliberate, immersive. Whether you’re working with an M10, a Monochrom, or a Q2, I’ll help you unlock its potential in real-world conditions.
  • Black-and-White as Language
My heart lives in monochrome. From my early days as a press photographer to my current work with Getty and beyond, black-and-white has always been my first choice. We’ll look at how to see in black-and-white, compose for emotion, and work with contrast, light, and shadow.
  • One-to-One Mentorship
Every workshop is private and customized to you. Your pace. Your interests. Your level. You’ll never be lost in a crowd or stuck shooting postcard clichés.
  • Venice & Budapest as Canvases
Two cities, very different moods — both extraordinary backdrops. Venice, with its surreal light and labyrinthine intimacy. Budapest, with its edges, resilience, and hidden geometry. You choose. Or do both.
